CUVEX DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Our security model is deliberately more strict:

  • Zero backend

  • Zero correlation

  • Zero telemetry

  • Zero third-party dependency

  • Mandatory human verification

  • Signing is a conscious act, not an automated one

These are not marketing decisions. They are architectural decisions aligned with a clear and explicit threat model.

HOW CUVEX WORKS

1. Memory That Never Stores Data

The device memory is automatically wiped at the end of each process, on reboot, or when the USB-C cable is disconnected.

No private keys or sensitive data are stored locally.

2. Fully Offline Seed Phrase Encryption

Seed phrases are encrypted using AES-256-GCM entirely offline.

The secret never crosses an internet-connected interface, smartphone, or PC while it resides within the device’s processor.

3. Dual PSBT Air Gap (Unique in the Market)

While other devices implement a single isolation layer, Cuvex separates transaction preparation and signing into two independent air gaps:

  1. Transaction preparation in the watch-only app

  2. Reading the unsigned PSBT on the device

  3. Signing using the encrypted seed cryptogram (via NFC or USB-C)

This radically reduces any potential attack vector for key or metadata leakage.

4. True Physical Entropy

Cuvex enables Bitcoin wallet generation using manual entropy (dice & coin), eliminating reliance on opaque pseudo-random number generators and reinforcing sovereignty at the very origin of the key.
